Admission to B.Ed. / M.Ed. course shall be made on the basis of merit as per the policy of Punjab Govt. / Panjab University, Chandigarh through counselling conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh / Punjabi University, Patiala / Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar
All students on the roll of the college are issued identity cards on joining the college. Students are required to keep their Identity cards with them. These must be produced when demanded or when checked by an official of the college. The Identity card is non transferable. If a student loses her identity card/library card, card can be issued.
| 1. House tests in all subjects are prescribed for B.Ed. and M.Ed. classes under University Regulations |
| 2. Monthly tests in all subjects are prescribed for B.Ed. and M.Ed. classes under university Regulations |
| 3. Exemption from any House Examination or Monthly Test will not be given except under very exceptional circumstances |
| 4. Strict Disciplinary action will be taken against students who absent themselves from the House Examination or Monthly Test. Absence from the House Examination or Monthly Test will also render a student liable to heavy fine and withdrawal of permission to take the University Examination. |
| 5. Failure and Absence in any House Examination debars candidates from receiving any academic prize in the Annual Prize Distribution Function of the college. |
Co-curricular activities are integral part of the B.Ed. training course. To train the students in Youth leadership and to develop social awareness among them, there exists different clubs and associations in the college. Students, who excel in co-curricular activities at college or the inter college level, are honoured in the annual prize distribution function of the college.
For the academic pursuits and discussion on educational aspects, there are tutorial groups each comprising of fifteen to Seventeen pupil-teacher and an assistant professor incharge.
Extension Lectures by eminent personalities are arranged in various areas of education by the college. These lectures help the students to develop insight knowledge of the subject and also to acquire latest information on such area of subjects.
The college has a commodious, well furnished hostel equipped with all modern amenities. A student desirous of joining the hostel, on admission in the college, shall apply on the prescribed form available at the college office along with brochure containing rules & regulations of the hostel.
Library facility is available for all the students and books are issued as per library rules
